This development consists of 3 underground floors, 2 partially underground floors and 6 raised floors. It also includes an urban space for public use, a landscaped square and a stone-paved square, which is spread over 2 levels, with a total area of 2,502m2.
This was a highly complex engineering project, largely due to its location and limited access. The main objective was to build a structure to support the retaining walls, consisting of pile walls. It consists of reinforced concrete slabs, with no visible beams. The concrete walls and cores were carefully installed to ensure resistance to horizontal action.
The floors of the dwellings are mostly made of wood and the interior walls and ceilings are made of painted plasterboard. Several specialities were involved in this project, such as plumbing, electrical installations, HVAC systems and lifts and escalators.
With the construction of five new building blocks, Empreendimento Bonjardim is a project that combines tradition with contemporaneity and promotes the almost complete rehabilitation of the D. João I block.
The work carried out on this project involved:
- Demolition, peripheral containment and excavations;
- Reinforced concrete foundations and structure;
- Roofing and waterproofing;
- Rehabilitation of the existing façade;
- Construction of partition walls;
- Assembly of kitchens;
- Exterior arrangements and landscaping;
- Painting;
- Construction of the athletics track and assembly of swimming pools;
