The Concession consisted of the construction of the following motorway sections:
• A25 / IP5 - IC2 / Talhadas Subsection (Standard Engineering Structures and Special Engineering Structures (Bridges and Viaducts));
• A25 / IP5 - Talhadas / Vouzela (General Works);
• A25 / IP5 - Vouzela / Boa Aldeia (General Works and Special Engineering Structures);
• A25 / IP5 - Boa Aldeia Junction Subsection - IP3 / IP5 West and IP3 / IP5 North (Special Engineering Structures);
• A25 / IP5 – Mangualde / Fornos de Algodres (Special Engineering Structures);
• A25 / IP5 – Fornos de Algodres / Ratoeira East (Standard Engineering Structures and Special Engineering Structures);
• A25 / IP5 – Ratoeira East / IP2 South (General Works).

 A25 / IP5 - IC2 / Talhadas Subsection (Standard Engineering Structures and Special Engineering Structures – Bridges and Viaducts))

The Special Engineering Structures consisted of the construction of 4 viaducts:

- Viaduct V1, with a deck length of 162m, constructed using prefabricated beams and pre-slabs;

  • maximum span = 20m;

  • maximum height = 39m.

- Viaduct V2, with a deck length of 132m, constructed using prefabricated beams and pre-slabs;

  • maximum span = 30m;

  • maximum height = 26m.

- Viaduct V3, with a deck length of 258m, constructed using launching gantries;

  • maximum span = 80m;

  • maximum height = 16m.

Standard Engineering Structures:

1 Overpass and 8 Underpasses.

 

A25/IP5 - Talhadas / Vouzela (General Works)

17.1 km of roadway with a cross-section featuring 2+2 lanes and a wide central reservation.

A25 / IP5 - Vouzela / Boa Aldeia (General Works and Special Engineering Structures)

General Works:

11,6 km of roadway with a cross-section featuring 2+2 lanes and a wide central reservation.

Special Engineering Structures:

These works involved the construction of 4 viaducts:

- Viaduct V1 - with a deck length of 230m, constructed using a launching girder;

  • maximum span = 40m;

  • maximum height = 38m.

- Viaduct V2 - with a deck length of 240m, constructed using a launching girder;

  • maximum span = 40m;

  • maximum height = 44m.

- Viaduct V3 - with a deck length of 221.2m, constructed using a launching girder;

  • maximum span = 39.5m;

  • maximum height = 44m.

- Viaduct V4 - with a deck length of 260,7m, constructed using a launching girder;

  • maximum span = 39.5m;

  • maximum height = 48m.

A25 / IP5 - Boa Aldeia Junction Subsection - IP3 / IP5 West and IP3 / IP5 North (Special Engineering Structures)

The Special Engineering Structures consisted of the construction of 5 viaducts:

- Viaduct V1 – features 2 decks of 180m, constructed using ground-based falsework.

  • maximum span = 32.5m;

  • maximum height = 24m.

- Viaduct V2 – features 2 decks of 286m, constructed using prefabricated I-beams.

  • maximum span = 26m;

  • maximum height = 17m.

- Viaduct V3 – features 2 decks of 335m, constructed using prefabricated box girders.

  • maximum span = 30m;

  • maximum height = 29m.

- Viaduct V4 – features 2 decks, constructed using prefabricated box girders:

  • 363m-long North Viaduct and 353m-long South Viaduct

  • maximum height = 26m;

  • maximum span = 30m;

  • maximum height = 28m.

- Viaduct V1A – features a 280m-long and 30m-wide deck, constructed using prefabricated I-beams.

  • maximum span = 23m;

  • maximum height = 19m.

A25 / IP5 – Mangualde / Fornos de Algodres (Special Engineering Structures)

The contract involved the construction of 4 Special Engineering Structures (Viaducts):

- Viaduct V4 - total length of 292m, consisting of 2 independent decks built using prefabricated I-beams and pre-slabs serving as formwork for the deck slab to be cast in situ.

  • maximum span = 20m;

  • maximum height = 18m.

- Viaduct V5 - total length of 444m, consisting of 2 independent decks built using prefabricated U-beams and pre-slabs serving as formwork for the deck slab to be cast in situ.

  • maximum span = 30m;

  • maximum height = 36m.

- Viaduct V6 - total length of 504m, consisting of 2 independent decks built using prefabricated U-beams and pre-slabs serving as formwork for the deck slab to be cast in situ.

  • maximum span = 40m;

  • maximum height = 63m.

- Viaduct V7 - total length of 443m, consisting of 2 independent decks built using lower launching girder:

  • maximum span = 41m;

  • maximum height = 30m.

A25 / IP5 – Fornos de Algodres / Ratoeira East (Standard Engineering Structures and Special Engineering Structures)

The contract involved the construction of 5 Special Engineering Structures (Viaducts) and 7 Standard Engineering Structures (3 underpasses and 4 overpasses).

The Special Engineering Structures consisted of the construction of 5 viaducts built using ground-based falsework:

- Viaduct V1 - Deck length of 122m.

  • maximum span = 26m;

  • maximum height = 18m.

- Viaduct V2 - Deck length of 73.62m.

  • maximum span = 22m;

  • maximum height = 14m.

- Viaduct V3 - Deck length of 102.26m.

  • maximum span = 30m;

  • maximum height = 17m.

- Viaduct V4 - Deck length of 167.66m.

  • maximum span = 25.4m;

  • maximum height = 20m.

- Viaduct V5 - Deck length of 144m.

  • maximum span = 30m;

  • maximum height = 15m.

Standard Engineering Structures:

3 Underpasses and 4 Overpasses.

A25 / IP5 – Ratoeira East / IP2 South (General Works)

General Works:

17.3 km long motorway section featuring 2+2 lanes and a wide central reservation (4.1 m).
