This intervention involved the construction of a single-track railway in two major phases.
Initially, the construction focused on the track infrastructure, which included the entire railway platform (including the sub-ballast layer), drainage systems, special and regular engineering structures, road reinstatements, ancillary works, signalling and overhead contact line. Subsequently, the project moved on to the installation of the track superstructure, as well as the fixed electrical traction installations and signalling and telecommunications systems.
In this second phase, on the section between Évora and Évora Norte - Évora Bypass, the execution project and contract also included all the electrification works.
