The Sabugal Dam was constructed with a zoned backfill profile on a clay core with a maximum height from the foundations of 58.5 m and a crown extending for 1,005 m.
The project includes a lateral overflow with a 35 m wide slab and a discharge channel 348 m long. The depth discharge and water inlet made from Ф 1.50m and 0.80m metal pipes were mounted in chambers.
In addition, an injection chamber was formed from where the foundations and slopes for the dam were extended.
