C2 (EN1): Leiria - Boa Vista Norte

Project: C2 (EN1) - Rehabilitation between Leiria (Km 126+536) and Boa Vista Norte - (Km 131+000)

Description: The aim of the work to upgrade the IC2 was to improve traffic and road safety conditions by redesigning the main intersections more thoroughly, paving the entire stretch and consequently revising the drainage system, as well as all the specialities affected.

As a result, 3 intersections were turned into roundabouts, 5 types of bituminous mixtures were applied, with the main emphasis on SMA 11 and SMA16, as well as the use of bituminous mixtures with milling (AC32 base).

A service channel was built and safety guards were applied throughout the construction work.​
